The Co-op ‘Inclusion’ Plan: Exclusion and Racial Discrimination
Following the backlash to Sainsbury's campaign featuring racially segregated employee spaces, multiple employees at Co-op Food have leaked internal materials which appear to show Co-op planning to institutionalize direct racial discrimination among its employees regarding their career progression prospects.
The first picture shows the company collecting personal data to be used for “positive reasons”.
Another picture shows Co-op hosting a ‘National Inclusion Week’, including sessions focused on socially divisive theories and concepts such as: “What is Intersectionality?” and “Things you need to stop saying - microaggressions”.
The last picture is of Co-op’s ‘Commitments’ in these areas, showing the goals the company wishes to achieve using the personal data collected. These goals are to be achieved through direct racial discrimination and through exclusion of sections of its employees.
Especially noteworthy in the last leaked picture is the alarming goal of lobbying for racial discrimination to be institutionalized on a national scale through the government, and for racially charged doctrines to be added to the national school curriculum. As is often the case in similar situations, such efforts are shielded by their advocates using positive euphemistic language, creating a solid PR image of a noble fight for a just cause instead.
Co-op UK were asked for comment but did not respond.
